Skincare for oily skin

Oily skin is caused by the overproduction of sebum, a type of oil that helps keep your skin hydrated. When your body produces too much sebum, it can clog your pores, leading to oily skin. A number of factors can contribute to the overproduction of sebum, including hormones, stress, diet and certain medications. If you have oily skin, there are a few things you can do to help control oil production and keep your skin looking healthy. Lancôme provides a range of skincare for oily skin to incorporate into your skincare routine.

If you have oily skin, you know the challenges that come with it. Oily skin is prone to breakouts, shine, and an overall oily, greasy feel. The good news is that there are a few things you can do to help manage oily skin by creating a skincare routine for oily skin. First, wash your face twice a day with a gentle cleanser. Be sure to use a cleanser designed for oily skin, as this will help remove excess oil without stripping your skin of its natural moisture. After cleansing, apply a light moisturiser and let it absorb into your skin before applying makeup.

Thirdly, exfoliate weekly. Oily skin can benefit from exfoliation, as it helps remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. Be sure to use a gentle exfoliator and avoid scrubbing too vigorously, as this can irritate your skin. Finally, apply an oil-free makeup primer before makeup. This helps create a smooth canvas for your foundation and prevents your makeup from slipping throughout the day. By following these tips, you can help manage oily skin and enjoy a clear, healthy-looking complexion.
