When finding the right colour foundation and concealer, make sure to try out your potential shades in good natural lighting. If you have a warm skin tone (your veins will look green), choose a shade with a yellow undertone. Foundation brushes can also help to create a more even, precise finish. For a streak-free finish, use a tapered buffing brush in a stippling motion.

Include bronzer and blusher in your routine 

To add a warm, sun-kissed glow to your complexion and to create a more sculpted look, add bronzer to the high points of your face where the sun would naturally hit. Suck in your cheeks and create a shadow underneath your cheekbones by applying bronzer along the hollows of your cheeks and following the angle of your jawline with your brush – this dome-shaped brush allows you to control the coverage. You can also add bronzer to your jawline and hairline and the sides of your nose. 

Apply your blusher next. Using an angled brush to sweep colour over the apple of your cheeks upwards. 

Setting your makeup 

No makeup tutorial is complete without setting spray or powder. They’re the answer to a long-lasting look. While both setting powders and setting sprays keep your makeup in place, they should be used for different situations. 

As setting powders can help to absorb excess oil, they are great for those with oily or combination skin. Apply with a fluffy brush, concentrating on areas that are prone to shine, such as your T-Zone and sides of your nose.

Define your lips with liner

If you’re a beginner when it comes to lip liner, take it slow and choose a shade that is close to your natural lip colour. Sharpen your pencil, slightly part your lips and use short strokes to trace your lip line. For long-lasting colour, fill in your lips with your liner before applying your lipstick or gloss.
