First, take off your face makeup. I am using Lancôme's Eau Micellaire Douceur. Take it on a cotton pad and gently wipe it across your face. This one is perfect for me because it is oil-free.
Eye and lip makeup tends to be more stubborn than face makeup so I am going to use a makeup remover with oil in it. I’m using Bi-Facil. It is one of my favourite products because it removes everything so gently.
Give it a good shake before you use it. Pour it onto a cotton pad, press it gently on your eye and leave it there for around 20 seconds. Let the product soak the mascara and eye makeup so that it is easier to remove. You don’t want to rub the eye area too much as the skin in this area is very sensitive.
Make sure that you’ve removed all your mascara so that it doesn’t build up. Don’t forget your eyebrows either! Take the cotton pad over your brows to remove any product you have.
I’m using Miel-en-Mousse Foaming Cleansing Makeup Remover to make sure that I remove all my makeup. It smells amazing and leaves your skin so soft. You can pop it straight on your face or use it in the shower. Whatever you do, make sure you don’t come too close to the eye area. I used about 3 pumps and apply it to a dry face.
I like to use my Clarisonic brush with the Miel-en-Mousse. I don’t use this every day, I use it about once a week because my skin is very sensitive. When I want a bit extra, I will use this. When you think your face is clean, go in with the brush and you’ll still see bits of makeup on it. When you’re done, wash the cleanser off with water.
For an extra bit of pampering, I’m using the Énergie De Vie Clay Mask. This is a purifying, refining, and de-toxing mask and it smells amazing. I like to do a mask at least 2 to 3 times a week. You don’t have to do it as often as I do, you can do it once on the weekend. I just love applying masks, I find it so satisfying. Once the mask is dry, take it off with a wet towel or just wash it off in the sink.
Since my skin has been acting up lately, I’m using the Visionnaire Crescendo Peel. Don’t be scared by the face peel! If you have some trouble areas that needs refreshing, this is going to help you.
There are two phases to this product. You use Phase 1 for 14 days to prepare your skin for the peel and then you use Phase 2 for another 14 days. During Phase 2 the skin will peel a bit. What it is doing is to reveal a fresh new layer of skin underneath.
When you apply it, avoid the eye area and your lips because this product is too strong for those areas. You can feel a slight tingling feeling. Let this sink in for around 45 seconds before you apply anything else. It is important that you use a SPF for sun protection throughout the whole 28-day peel treatment.
I’m using the Advanced Génifique Serum. I use a serum because the texture is a lot thinner so that it goes deeper into the skin. The serum also help your moisturiser or night cream work better. The serum opens up the layer of the skin and drags the moisturiser into the skin. I would always recommend a serum. Take a few drops of the serum and massage it in.
To moisturise my skin, I’m using Énergie de Vie Liquid Moisturiser. It is nice and lightweight.
The most important thing for me is eye serum. I’m using the Advanced Génifique Yeux Light-Pearl which is very nice and cooling for the eyes. Use the metal applicator and apply it gently under the eyes. Then gently tap it into the skin. That’s it, you ’re done! To me there is nothing better than a super clean face.
